From Kotor, Budva and the coast

The big favourite is a full day north through the mountains to Tara Canyon and Durmitor, with Ostrog on the way. If you'd rather focus on the monastery, a private half-day trip takes you straight there from the Bay of Kotor.

From Podgorica

Ostrog is only an hour from the capital, so tours from Podgorica are short and relaxed. One adds the Niagara waterfalls and Skadar Lake to the same day.

Monastery tours

Pair Ostrog with Montenegro's other great sanctuaries, such as Cetinje Monastery, the cave church of Dajbabe and Morača, on a private day out.
